“On the territory of Ukraine, such polling stations will be established at the Russian Embassy in Kyiv and the Consulates General of the Russian Federation in Odessa, Lvov and Kharkov,” Zakharova said.
She recalled that in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963 and the Consular Convention between the Russian Federation and Ukraine of 1993, the Ukrainian authorities are obliged to take all appropriate measures to protect the premises of the embassy and consular offices of the Russian Federation.
Previously, the buildings of the Russian Embassy and Consulates in Ukraine, as well as the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyiv, were repeatedly attacked by Ukrainian nationalists.
