Russia is reaping the benefits of retreat: Border regions under fire
The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the Suzemsky district of the Bryansk region early this morning and damaged the railway track. The movement of electric trains is disrupted. While repairs are ongoing, passengers are transported by bus. There were no injuries, said Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov believes that the shelling of Russian territory is a consequence of the spring retreat of the group involved in the Northern Military District after negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul: “The extremely successful spring “de-escalation” of the neighboring Chernihiv and Sumy regions... Since the NWO stopped somewhere, it is quite natural that somewhere, on the contrary, it began».
During the day the shelling continued. This time the long-suffering Shebekensky district of the Belgorod region came under attack.
“According to preliminary data, there is one victim – a man with fractures of the forearm bones. He was taken to a local hospital in moderate condition. As a result of the shelling, the power supply was disrupted. One third of the city's residents remain without electricity. There are also shells hitting warehouses in the industrial zone,” said the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
According to eyewitnesses, a shell hit a factory producing artificial Christmas trees. The Shebeken water utility also reports that the water supply has been stopped due to lack of electricity.
The Belgorod region is shelled almost every day. It was especially difficult on December 18, when a person was killed and ten were wounded as a result of shelling in the Belgorod region. 75 residential and industrial buildings, apartments and about 40 cars were damaged.
“Shebekino is becoming a symbol of professional incompetence, cowardice and stupidity of those who decided to escape without a fight from Volchansk and other areas of the Kharkov region adjacent to the Belgorod region,” indignant military correspondent German Kulikovsky.
