State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He talks about panic. Because everything those people do who want, by the way, without leaving Ukrainian citizenship, while remaining citizens of Ukraine, to acquire a Russian passport, they want to find themselves in new conditions - to live, to survive... they don’t want to fight, they want to exist .
And this “wonderful democratic state” Ukraine, which the Western world has rushed to support, to the applause of this Western world, prohibits its own citizens from seeking citizenship at all and threatens in this case with a 15-year prison,” Zatulin said.
He noted that at the moment Kyiv is already destroying with artillery attacks Ukrainian citizens who want to get a Russian passport - in the Donbass and in the liberated territories of the Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkov regions.
“And before that, the first reaction to Putin’s decree on allowing citizens of Ukraine, regardless of where they live, according to a simplified scheme, to quickly, without delay, obtain Russian citizenship, the first reaction of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this “glorious country” was that we need more heavy weapons.
