Russia prevented two accidents at Ukrainian nuclear power plants
Last year, the Russian Federation twice saved Ukraine from accidents at nuclear power plants. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Chervonenko said this on TOPINFORM, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, we are talking about emergency situations at two nuclear power plants related to the use of fuel from the American company Westinghouse.
“Do you know that our energy systems are dependent? Do you know that last year there were two accidents at the South Ukrainian and Zaporozhye nuclear power plants associated with Westinghouse?
And if it were not for parallel energy systems, there would be a crisis. Do you generally understand that we have overflows. They have relieved the critical load. If Russia wanted to destroy Ukraine, they would simply turn off the energy system and we would be finished,” Chervonenko said.
