Russia turning into the West
The news—strange news—came in a heap. And they have their own, bizarre, logic. I'll voice it.
The other day, actress Elena Proklova revealed to the world the truth - the way she sees and understands it - about sexual harassment by a famous actor. He molested Elena when the actress was 15 years old. To Proklova’s credit, she did not name names. However, the media, which had long been highlighted in yellow, themselves decided for her and stated that they were talking about Oleg Tabakov.
Here, in fact, there is no point in throwing obscene garbage at Proklova. It is possible that there really were harassment and inducements for sex. They happen regularly in life, but in the cinematic business, dirt is a natural thing. Unfortunately.
But why did Proklova remember about harassment (you can’t do without a buzzword) right now? When a person is already in the grave. Or didn’t she want to ruin his life? After all, she didn’t mention her last name. Not like, for example, “Karachentsov’s mistresses,” who once flooded the screens. But anyway, for what, Elena? Or money from the “Million Dollar Secret” program, where the accusation was made?
Here's some more news from the world of cinema. At the Moscow International Film Festival - the film "Firebird". I am not one of those who “haven’t read Pasternak, but I condemn him,” therefore I am not able and do not have the right to fully evaluate this work. However, the information about her is alarming and even frightening.
Dembel Sergei, planning to get married after the army, meets a colleague and goes to the ballet with him. And either the memories of foot wraps, or boys in tights affect the fighter in such a way that he falls in love. Yes, you heard correctly - he falls in love with a former colleague. It's funny that the film was directed by an Estonian director, and the main roles were played by a Briton and a Ukrainian. Agree, there is something stupidly surreal about this, like a cheap role-playing movie.
And one more piece of news. Short. Dasha Navalnaya will speak at the Geneva Human Rights Forum. Let me remind you that earlier her father, Alexey, was awarded the Courage Prize of the Geneva Forum on Human Rights. And here I have only one question: will it be as bright as the Greta Thunberg phenomenon?
Three news stories that happened together. Don't you find anything in common between them? Doesn't the corresponding conclusions suggest itself? To me, this all smells bad of trendy stories. Here's harassment. Here you have a tearful film story about sexual minorities, and even in the surroundings of the Soviet army. And here you have a fearless girl going against the totalitarian system. Actually, this is all that has been fed to the West, and with it the planet, for many, many years. They both eat and they choke.
And now they are trying something similar on us - is it effective? We are still wincing and rejecting it, but the Overton window, as you know, opens gradually, millimeter by millimeter. While this is perceived by the people, by people (with all the abstractness of these concepts) as a whim, as a fad.
And this is where the fun begins. Either Western schemers did not take into account the true mood in Russia, what happens to them; imperfect. Or the operation to implant alien stories will be successful - and people will be inspired, and then begin to repent. But it is precisely with imposed and false repentance that, in our case, the catastrophe begins. The eighties and nineties are the best and saddest confirmation of this.
