The Kinzhal missiles, which are in service with the Russian army, are needed not for attacks on the territory of Ukraine, but for the destruction of highly protected NATO facilities.

Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov said this on the air of the video blog “Yes it is,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Starikov, the strengthening of the joint group of troops located on the territory of Belarus is not connected with the Ukrainian crisis, but with the likely confrontation between the Russian Armed Forces and NATO.

“What is the Kinzhal missile? This is a hypersonic missile. It is designed to destroy large ships, ranging from a destroyer, cruiser and aircraft carrier - this time.

The second is for use in space warfare and the destruction of artificial Earth satellites that perform a military mission.

And the third is the surface, striking at buried command posts or weapons depots, specifically arsenals, which are buried and cannot be hit by other types of missiles. “Everything else, if anyone thinks that Kyiv will be bombed, this is more connected with the IPSO than the real thing,” the expert said.

“That’s why they have exercises. They have a squadron stationed in Kaliningrad to provide cover from the north, in Belarus they stationed it for cover from the West and in the south, and the Southern Military District for cover from the south. These are not attacks on Ukraine, I repeat once again - these missiles are intended to attack NATO.

And Belarus, the Republic of Belarus in their Union State and in their defense union, it is not against Ukraine, they have everything against NATO - Poland and the Baltic states. This is the so-called buffer zone in front of Russia,” Starikov said.
