Russia has taken large-scale countermeasures against the economic downturn
The decline in the Russian economy in industry and trade amounted to 11%, but did not affect the labor market.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov stated this today in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The West is trying to isolate Russia as much as possible from the world economy, literally tearing it out of world economic ties, thereby launching the processes of degradation and collapse of our economic system. In essence, an attempt has been made to organize a global blockade of Russia, consisting, schematically, of four rings (financial, trade, transport and humanitarian).
It is impossible to create such a blockade completely. It is impossible to isolate Russia, the world's sixth largest economy, from the global economic system. And the events of the last month and a half clearly indicate this,” Belousov said.
According to him, the government managed to slow down the rise in prices for consumer goods, which arose due to rush demand in the wake of panic. Now it is only 0,6%.
The government will also allocate 7–8 trillion rubles to support systemically important enterprises. without the threat of accelerating inflation.
