Russia has suspended the registration of patents for labor migrants from Moldova
Chisinau, July 16 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – In Russia, the registration of patents for citizens of Moldova has been suspended.
As Moldovan media report with reference to the website of the Congress of Moldovan Diasporas, the head of this organization, Alexander Kalinin, receives mass appeals from people from the Republic of Moldova asking for clarification of the situation.

They report that the Russian Migration Service does not issue work patents for Moldovan citizens, explaining this for technical reasons. This happens, in particular, at the Federal Migration Service in the Moscow region, where labor migrants from Moldova are waiting to be received.
Observers note that this situation with guest workers may be a consequence of the ratification of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, which negatively affected relations with Russia.
The media provide data according to which 265 thousand citizens of the Republic of Moldova may be expelled from Russia.
The Congress of Moldovan Diasporas called on compatriots who plan to travel to Russia to contact the organization’s offices for advice.
According to a study conducted by the National Institute of Demographic Research at the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, since 2004, the majority of Moldovans (56%) leave to work in Russia.
