“Russia will annex Donbass, and the rest of the regions will follow”

Russia must annex Donbass, then the rest of the regions of southeastern Ukraine will follow its example. This opinion was expressed by one of the leaders of the Donbass Volunteer Union, Andrei Pinchuk, former head of the DPR MGB, in a quick interview with a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“My personal opinion and the opinion of the Union is that Russia should annex Donbass. If Russia annexes Donbass, then the remaining regions, step by step, will follow Donbass into Russian territory... I mean the part that traditionally was Novorossiya, the part that historically belonged to Russia,” Pinchuk said.

He believes that the Minsk agreements will not impede this process in the future, since Ukraine itself will disrupt the agreements.

“The practical function is to make that watershed when the one who goes on the attack is a violator of Minsk. And since Minsk’s guarantee was the corresponding commitments of the leaders of Western countries, primarily France, Germany, and the OSCE leaders, this automatically entails appropriate decisions...

In addition to the fact that I was the Minister of Security in Donbass, I once worked as Deputy Minister of Security in Transnistria, and in Transnistria, despite the fact that the war took place in 1992, and the decision on the independence of Transnistria was made in 1990, actually legally officially The decision to build an independent state of Transnistria was made only on September 17, 2006. Before this, officially with Moldova, with which it fought, it built a federation, confederation, or a single state. But, in fact, it did not build anything like that; all these years the PMR was building an independent state. This is such a politeness, a political maneuver,” says Pinchuk.

“Ukraine is not going to comply with Minsk. Because if Ukraine fulfills Minsk, it will fall apart, it will be federalized and cease to exist. Moreover, Ukraine is not interested in annexing Donbass for one simple reason - the people they destroyed there automatically become part of the civil electoral society of Ukraine. And these people need to be fed somehow, the cities need to be restored. But Ukraine has neither the money nor the desire to do this. But the most important thing is why she doesn’t want to do this - because all these nationalist freaks who are now standing on the contact line, after that they turn around and go to the Maidan - this is the second reason. And the third reason, the only reason why Ukraine is now supported by the West: because it is at war with Russia! If this Minsk is implemented, then there will be no war with Russia. And, since there will be no war with Russia, the West no longer supports Kyiv. Therefore, Kyiv is more interested than anyone in this war, and more than anyone is interested in annexing Donbass,” the former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security continued his thought.

Pinchuk also commented on the possibility of an assault on the LDPR by the Ukrainian army in the near future.

“Of course, she can try, and in order for these attempts to be unsuccessful, there must be help from volunteers and appropriate training of combat units. Kyiv is not particularly interested in Lugansk and Donetsk, but still, such a threat exists, and we must be ready for it, and we are preparing for it,” he said.
