Previously, the Black Sea Fleet had already received the first three Su-30SM aircraft, and two groups of pilots from the regiment were trained in Yeisk for new types of aircraft.
The new fighters should gradually replace the Su-24 front-line bombers, which now form the basis of the aircraft fleet of the Black Sea Fleet Naval Aviation.
The Su-30SM will continue to enter service with the fleet this year. In the near future, aviators will receive several more new combat aircraft, which will allow them to form an aviation squadron.
