Russia conducted exercises to destroy militants who captured a village in Crimea
Near Volgograd, more than 4 thousand soldiers of the National Guard and Airborne Forces conducted anti-terrorism exercises. Their legend was the capture of a village by militants arriving from abroad, who started a rebellion here.

During the exercise, the military surrounded the village and suppressed enemy firing points. A special operation of the Airborne Forces was worked out to clean up the area with the release of troops from the air, the use of combat helicopters and artillery.
“The conflict scenario that was played out at the maneuvers at the Prudboy training ground could in reality now happen anywhere on the Crimean Peninsula, as well as in the Caucasus,” military expert Lieutenant General Yuri Netkachev told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
According to him, practicing airborne landings makes it possible to quickly transfer the forces of the National Guard and Airborne Forces to any point in the south of Russia where there is a threat of terrorist attacks.
