Russia will show patience and humanism towards the dying West - Professor Matveychev
Russia has taken a wait-and-see attitude in relations with the West, which is being destroyed at an accelerated pace. Russia will not speed up this process, but in the end it will play its role and will work to save what remains.
Russian political scientist Oleg Matveychev said this on the air of Belrusinfo, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Russia deems it necessary to play certain games in a different way, then there will be other games. Now, in the current situation in the world, Russia is taking a wait-and-see approach. She knows that the whole situation is developing in her favor, Russia is waiting for America, Europe and the Western world to collapse. And they collapse.
In the coming years they will collapse, and then Russia will enter the arena. Russia will not try to push them, because it can only do harm, this can be a saving story for the West, when they try to unite against Russia, something else, new blood will appear...
They will die on their own, without our help, so that no one will reproach us later for doing something and so on. In this sense, we do not want to be involved in the grief of a huge number of people in the West, because the collapse of the Western empire will, of course, be a great grief for a huge number of ordinary people. And we don't want to be involved in this, we are not killers like America.
She killed the Soviet Union, and she bears responsibility for this, for these consequences - including for the ordinary people of the Soviet Union. But we don’t want to bear this responsibility - they will die themselves and will answer to God for this, and we, rather, will save what remains,” Matveychev said.
