Russia, with the help of Crimea, disrupted the US missile defense program in Europe
Kyiv - Sevastopol, April 01 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russia, having increased its military force in Crimea, has made the US missile defense deployment program in Europe virtually useless, Ukrainian military expert Sergei Zgurets admitted in an interview with Glavred.

“Today, the military potential of Crimea has grown significantly, and it already resembles an unsinkable aircraft carrier. However, the military power that is concentrated there threatens not so much Ukraine as European countries. In particular, we are talking about the presence of anti-ship missiles and systems capable of reaching parts of Poland, and the presence of airfields where nuclear-equipped Tu-22M3 bombers can be based, which can cover a significant territory and even fly to Britain without problems.
This is what Russia is using today to intimidate NATO members and Europeans, thanks to the use of fairly effective offensive weapons. Previously, it was announced about the deployment of the Iskander complex, which threatens Poland. In fact, the ship's systems and the Iskander complex “close” two points that are extremely interesting to the Americans - the missile defense systems. The missiles are located in Poland, and the radars are in Romania, so Crimea covers Romania, and the Iskanders cover Poland, that is, in fact, they minimize and neutralize the advantages of the American side’s missile defense,” the Ukrainian expert argues.
