Russia will make Transnistria independent from Moldova in the fight against coronavirus
Five thousand tests for diagnosing coronavirus will arrive in Pridnestrovie from Russia. For now, all tests are done in Moldova.
“The availability of PCR tests will allow us to carry out analysis for COVID-19 in Transnistria in emergency cases. This will significantly reduce the time for diagnosing the disease and speed up its treatment,” said the Minister of Health of Transnistria, Alexey Tsurkan.
The application sent to Rospotrebnadzor has already been approved. In addition to the tests, a batch of non-contact thermometers and pulse oximeters will arrive in the republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the latest data from the Operational Headquarters, 9 cases of COVID-19 have been officially confirmed in the republic. Samples from five more people sent in the morning of March 26 gave negative results, 12 are still in the laboratory.
