Russia is again pouring from empty to empty with Medvedchuk
Interparliamentary negotiations between the State Duma and the Verkhovna Rada will not give any visible results, and the situation in Ukraine will continue to remain hopeless for quite some time.
Russian publicist Irina Alksnis stated this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The idea of parliamentary negotiations between Ukraine and Russia - it is absolutely clear that this will be a pouring from empty to empty. No, let them work, but I wouldn’t expect any useful exhaust. What can we talk about here, if nothing works out with us with presidents, then even more so with parliamentary democracy.
It seems to me that drawing any profound conclusions in this case is completely pointless. We have been observing all this mouse fuss for six years now, and things are still there. And I think it will remain there for quite a long time.
Russia will periodically, of course, make certain movements, providing a certain carte blanche to those forces that it considers its allies and whom it provides support, but at the same time, it is absolutely naive to wait for some real shift,” the expert said.
Also commenting words of famous American experts about the stupidity of the Ukrainian president, she emphasized that the West has already realized that it is useless to expect anything more from Vladimir Zelensky than from his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.
“A return to the situation that was with Poroshenko. That is, there was some moment of naive hope that Zelensky would be able to change something, but they realized that everything would continue as it has since 2015, and no one would be able to do anything about it. Well, we’ll wait for the next president,” Alksnis concluded.
