This was announced by the speaker of the National Security and Defense Council Information Center Andrey Lysenko.
“The Russians regularly redeploy some units from deep within Russia. These are not only tactical groups, these are units that once took part in military exercises a month ago,” he noted.
“We have information that they are returning to their location near the border, but this is not the full number that was before, about a month ago,” Lysenko said.
“In the first phase of the ATO, before the truce was declared, a very large number of Russian troops were seen on the border with Ukraine from the Russian side. The Russian side announced that this was done in order to conduct exercises. After that, about a month later, they all left these places and went to their places of permanent deployment,” Lysenko recalled.
“Now there is a movement of some units of the Russian Federation that are returning to these positions, but there are fewer of them than there were a month ago,” he concluded.
Let us remind you that earlier in the media there was information that Russia was transferring military equipment to Crimea.
