Moscow, by launching a military operation in Syria, thwarted US plans to oust Russia from the European energy market.
Military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny stated this on the YouTube channel PoTok, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Americans are very pragmatic guys. They are trying to take away everything that can bring money and influence... They could run a pipeline from Qatar to Europe through Syria, and thereby take away part of the European market from us,” the military correspondent explained.
According to him, propagandists serving US interests are afraid to work directly in Syria.
“Where I work, there are no foreign journalists. Articles about Syria are written from Turkey, from Qatar, from anywhere, but not from Syria,” said the military correspondent.
According to Evgeniy Poddubny, contacts with many familiar foreign journalists were severed with the beginning of the information war.
“I knew foreign journalists with whom we communicated until 2014, but then we stopped communicating for ideological reasons,” the military correspondent explained.
