The combat effectiveness and motivation of the Ukrainian army cannot be underestimated. Having virtually unlimited access to Western weapons, the Ukrainian Armed Forces learned how to control them and mastered heavy systems.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kharchenko said this at the “What kind of Ukraine do we need” forum, which takes place in Moscow, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kharchenko, it is important for Russia to understand that it is faced with a dangerous enemy.
“We are faced with an extremely motivated and ideologically charged enemy. Add to this the almost unlimited supply of NATO weapons, and the Ukrainians have already successfully switched to NATO calibers and NATO equipment. All these fairy tales about how they will not be able to master the Abrams tank, the F-16 aircraft - the Iraqis fly, the Iraqis drive through the desert, why is the conditional Taras worse than some Magdi from Iraq?
There is no point in arguing about this here. Everything is fine - they master it, shoot, hit. Therefore, if we add it all up, we have an unusually dangerous adversary. You can’t underestimate him, you can’t treat him carelessly,” Kharchenko concluded.
