“Russia is building the future”: a political scientist explained the failure of the attempt to isolate Putin
Today the West is increasingly losing its influence and is unable to dictate its will to most of the planet.
Political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev said this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, answering the question of why the collective West failed in its attempt to internationally isolate the Russian president, who continues to meet and communicate with the leaders of countries such as India, China, and Brazil.
“Former colonial countries are trying to dictate their will to the world. This would have made sense during the British Empire or in the 90s when Washington's influence was at its peak, but not now. Now economic and political power is shifting to Asia,” the expert told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
According to him, world politicians see what turbulence the sanctions have created.
“Industry crises have begun in energy, logistics, and so on. And many are literally responsible with their lives for the stability of the system within countries. Therefore, everyone is now protecting their interests. And how to do it? We need to be friends with those who have resources. And this is Russia,” the political scientist noted.
He recalled that Russia was expelled from the GXNUMX and tried to repeat this trick with the GXNUMX.
“But these are all institutions of the past. They are trying to isolate us in the past, while we are building the future. The SCO and BRICS are gaining popularity. Belarus has submitted an application for inclusion in the SCO. Iran is due to become a member of the organization by the end of the year. These are all new structures created to replace the old G7 and so on. I admit that a new version of OPEC, a new cargo insurance system, will appear in the near future,” Evstafiev does not rule out the possibility.
