Russia demands Ukraine to prepay for November gas

Kyiv, November 07 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Russian Ministry of Energy in the near future expects from Naftogaz an advance payment for supplies of blue fuel in November-December of this year.

This was announced by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

According to him, the Ukrainian side has repaid the first tranche of debt in the amount of $1 billion. Gazprom received the money on November 45th.

“The invoice for November was formed taking into account the discount, that is, $378 per thousand cubic meters. Russia plans to sell 2 billion cubic meters to Ukraine in November. Gas will be provided immediately after prepayment,” said Alexander Novak.
