Russia teaches Serbia to shoot down enemy planes
During the bilateral Russian-Serbian tactical flight exercise "BARS-2019", held in the Astrakhan region, the crews of MiG-29SMT fighters destroyed more than 10 air targets.
This was reported by the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During the flights, the joint crews performed practical launches of air-to-air missiles at targets dropped by a target-laying aircraft. In addition, the fighter aviation flight personnel participating in the exercise practiced launching unguided missiles and firing a cannon at ground targets at the Ashuluk training ground,” the statement said.
Crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Air Force and the Serbian Air Defense Forces on MiG-2019SMT aircraft and Mi-29AMTSh helicopters are taking part in the BARS-8 exercise. In total, more than 10 aircraft units of the Russian Aerospace Forces are involved.
