Russia successfully repelled external attacks in the State Duma elections
In total, ten types of external interference were undertaken against the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, but all of them turned out to be ineffective.
The head of the Federation Council Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation, Andrei Klimov, stated this in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper, PolitNavigator correspondent reports, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Some of our opponents say: you see, there was no interference! It happened, and we recorded ten types of this intervention that actually happened. Another thing is how effective it was - it was ineffective because we learned to counter these challenges. If we had not done this, the situation could have been much more difficult, and then it would have been difficult to say that everything is stable with us,” Klimov said.
“These cyber attacks on the CEC resources are insane. Dissemination of harmful content against our laws and international rules, the use of various kinds of foreign agents to implement certain ideas from that side, direct instructions from various kinds of foreign officials - what we should do and what not to do, what constitutes direct interference. The use of diplomats working on our territories for unsuitable purposes, contrary to all international laws and norms,” the senator concluded.
