Russia successfully overcame the 2020 crisis – in all respects
Russia, in the context of a severe global crisis and ongoing sanctions from the United States, managed not only to maintain its economy, but also to implement some large-scale projects.
This was stated during the scientific and expert forum “Primakov Readings” by the President of IMEMO. EAT. Primakov RAS Alexander Dynkin, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If we talk about Russia, the country overcame the previous 2020 better than any other global crisis in thirty years of post-Soviet history. We have a stable market, a stable banking system, we have a high level of self-sufficiency in raw materials, energy and food, with minimal, in comparison with other countries, sovereign debt, only seventeen percent, and significant gold and foreign exchange reserves.
We were able to rearm the army and strategic forces along leading innovation trajectories; our national innovation system was the first in the world to create one of the best vaccines, then a whole line of vaccines,” the speaker said.
He also emphasized that in the context of Western sanctions and the ongoing global crisis, the Russian economy is not only making progress, but also continues to set ambitious goals.
“And all this in the context of 103 rounds of American sanctions. Think about this figure - 103 rounds. This has already become a structural constant of economic risks. Therefore, our macroeconomic policy remains moderately conservative.
However, even in these conditions, a critically important task is to launch domestic consumer and investment demand in the interests of raising living standards,” Dynkin concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Israel they stated that modern Russian missile weapons nullify the American air defense system. Russia's previously presented hypersonic weapons fundamentally change the balance of power and allow it to shoot down American missiles at the launch stage.
