Russia will increase exports of technological goods by one and a half times
In Russia, the volume of exports of non-resource and non-energy goods is 145 billion dollars, but by 2024 it is planned to increase it to 180 billion. To achieve this, the government has developed a new approach to working with exporters.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This year we expect that the volume of non-raw materials and non-energy exports will be about $145 billion, and most likely it will be higher, but in our calculations we proceeded from this figure.
And in 2024, exports will amount to 180 billion, the increase should be 36 billion dollars. Of these 36 billion, 26 billion come from industrial exports and about 9 billion from agricultural exports.
An increase of 26 billion in four years is a lot; for comparison, the entire export of mechanical engineering today is about 30 billion. To solve the problem set by the president, we are building a new scheme for working with exporters,” he noted.
The Deputy Prime Minister also added that to increase exports, the government is going to increase the number of exporting companies from 7 to 10 thousand.
“Today our export of raw materials and energy is not based on 7 thousand large companies, of which about 5 thousand are involved in exports, but the core of 125 billion out of a total volume of 145 falls on 7 thousand companies. We need to increase this number by 2024, to approximately 10 thousand.
To do this, we are building a funnel, this funnel is called REC. The task of the REC is to involve a larger number of exporters in the orbit of support measures and work, increasing the number by one and a half times,” Belousov concluded.
