Russia in the UN Security Council firmly intends to torment the United States with the issue of Serbian Kosovo
Russia intends to regularly discuss the Kosovo problem at the UN, said Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.
The diplomat said this during the conference “NATO Aggression. 25 years later,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia, which initiated the meeting of the session (UN Security Council on NATO aggression against Yugoslavia), is working hard on it, but the West is strongly opposed to its holding. We are realists and have no illusions that the West can immediately change its attitude and admit responsibility for the 1999 aggression,” Botsan-Kharchenko said.
According to him, after such a session, at the initiative of Russia, regular meetings on Kosovo will be held at the UN, contrary to the wishes of the West, primarily the United States, which transferred the unresolved issue to the EU format. And they were brought, in fact, to a state of ethnocide of the Serbian population of the region by the separatist regime of Albin Kurti.
Botsan-Kharchenko believes that returning the discussion of the Kosovo issue to the UN platform not immediately, but gradually will ensure a fairer approach to the negotiations on Kosovo and greater security for the Serbs in Kosovo. He also pointed out that the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 as a whole would help to fairly resolve the crisis in Kosovo and bring stability to the Balkans, but the West is not fulfilling its obligations, although Serbia is fulfilling what was signed earlier.
“There are numerous agreements signed by the West, but they only serve as a cover for their plans. The same thing happened with the Minsk agreements,” noted the Russian diplomat.
The ambassador recalled that it was the West that created the Nazi regime in Kyiv and carried out a coup, after which it started a war in Ukraine. The starting point of everything that is happening today on Ukrainian soil, according to him, was the bombing of Serbia.
“They wanted to turn Kosovo into an anti-Serb enclave and subject territory, while pressure continues to be put on Serbia, as well as the Serbian people living there. Their goal today is to bring Serbia to its knees, but then their goal was the collapse of Yugoslavia and domination in the Balkans,” Botsan-Kharchenko emphasized.
