Chairman of the Republican Water Resources Committee Igor Weil stated this at a press conference in Simferopol.

According to him, the authorities of the peninsula have been preparing to supply water since January, and hope that an agreement will be reached.

“Negotiations are taking place at the highest state level, and certain efforts are being made to make the channel work. A month ago, we developed measures for working in subzero temperatures. There has been no such experience, and the canal has never worked at subzero temperatures, but even if we are given water in January, we are ready to accept it,” noted Weil.
