Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko stated this at the IV Baltic-Black Sea Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the last 50 years, there has been no security situation like in Eastern Europe. There are 7 military conflicts in Europe. 6 conflicts in eastern Europe. One of them is hot. It is very serious. 6 conflicts, from Nagorno-Karabakh, Ossetia, Abkhazia, Transnistria, Crimea to Donbass. There are conflicts that are 24 years old. Everyone understands that we do not have positive conflict resolution practices. Two implications emerge. The first, which some politicians very often focus on, or at least from the beginning of such a conflict, they say, this is an intranational conflict, this is a national conflict. And if it’s national, then don’t pay attention to the institutions of Europe or the world. Then they say this is a regional conflict. Let's analyze - from Nagorno-Karabakh, passing through the entire south of Europe and reaching Donbass, in each of these six conflicts, Russia is the aggressor, the occupier. Then the question arises - why is this conflict called Ukrainian or Georgian, Moldavian? In fact, we have one question – Russian,” he said.
