“We ensured that claims were filed against the Russian Federation in the Stockholm Arbitration Court. Ukraine demands from Gazprom the return of $16 billion in losses, which Ukraine both overpaid for gas prices and did not receive income from transit.
Separately, I will clarify that the Russian Federation went to court against Ukraine on the basis of the same gas contracts regarding the recovery of 27 billion US dollars from Ukraine for the so-called clause in the contract, which was called “take or pay,” Yatsenyuk said.
He clarified that Kyiv considers the Russian claim to be baseless and intends to defend its case.
