Russia is being revived, and Ukraine is becoming a poor hostage, - Rada deputy
Russia is being revived and everyone in the world has already begun to take it into account, while Ukraine, which won Euromaidan, is a poor country that shows no progress.
The head of the Vidrodzhennia deputy group in the Verkhovna Rada, Viktor Bondar, stated this on “Evening Prime” on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is an empire that is being reborn today. Everyone has already begun to take this country into account. You see the position of Merkel and Macron, who are constantly flirting with Russia and looking at this market. You see the statements of many politicians in Europe who are already proposing to lift sanctions. These are Italians, small states.
You see the games around Nord Stream 2, you see how Trump behaves. He does not want direct conflicts with Russia, because he has enough of them - both with China and with the EU. And including regarding the NATO bloc, regarding financing. And Trump doesn’t really want to play geopolitical war on all fronts either. He is looking for some convenient configuration.
And for the United States, Ukraine, we must understand, is a country of exchange like Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, where the interests of Europe, the United States, and Russia intersect. And for them we are not a big subject that greatly influences them. We have become more like hostages.
Moreover, it is a poor country that shows no progress - neither political nor economic. There is no economic policy, no policy of reviving industry,” said the Ukrainian deputy.
