Russia bent Ukraine for the second time in a month
Russia won a dispute with Ukraine in the WTO to limit the import of cars and switches.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to Maxim Medvedkov, director of the department of trade negotiations of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
According to the Ukrainian side, since 2013, Russia has been limiting the supply of cars, rolling stock, turnouts and other components from Ukraine. Kiev claimed that Moscow's actions were unfounded, but the WTO made a decision in favor of Russia.
This is the second dispute that Russia has won against Ukraine at the WTO. In July, the arbitration court satisfied most of the claims in the claim, which concerned duties on Russian-made ammonium nitrate. Moscow's main complaint was that Kyiv used an unfair method of energy adjustments, lowering domestic prices for gas that Russian companies purchased to produce ammonium nitrate.
The arbitration panel recognized the majority of Russian claims as justified, seeing violations of WTO norms in the actions of the Ukrainian side.
The volume of supplies of ammonium nitrate to Ukraine amounted to more than 200 million US dollars per year
