A law establishing criminal liability for doping will be adopted in Russia in the near future. Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich stated this today, speaking at the “Russia – a Sports Power” forum.

“Russia has committed itself to correcting its own shortcomings; we will soon adopt a law establishing criminal liability, carry out the necessary propaganda and educational work, and so on. We will do all this quickly and expect the same from the international community,” Dvorkovich said.

Today, speaking at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Sports, the President of the Russian Federation said that the leadership of Russian sports made a number of serious mistakes and gave rise to a doping scandal.
