The amount of duties on these goods will be similar to that applied to goods from countries with which the Russian Federation applies the most favored nation regime in trade and political relations.
Previously, goods from Moldova were not subject to customs import duties, since a free trade agreement was in force between Moscow and Chisinau.
The introduction of duties is associated with the signing of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, which has already been ratified by the Moldovan Parliament. Moldova will have to implement European technical regulations and standards that do not comply with Russian rules and the rules of the Customs Union, Interfax writes.
As already reported, in July Russia banned the import of Moldovan fruits and canned fruits and vegetables.
