Russia has not found an approach to the Crimean Tatars in a year – media
Moscow - Simferopol, March 4 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - A pro-Russian faction “Crimea” appeared in the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatars, which included 105 of 248 delegates. She wants to replace the current head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, who is barred from entering the Russian Federation, with the vice-speaker of the State Council of Crimea, Remzi Ilyasov, who is loyal to the authorities. But it’s not a fact that they have enough votes.

Chairman of the Bakhchisarai District Council Refat Derdarov, who joined the “Crimea” faction, said “To Kommersant”, that the leadership of the Mejlis is behaving “unconstructively” and is engaged in “politics, not solving the problems of the people.” In addition, he considers it unacceptable that the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, runs the organization “via Skype.” Another member of the faction, Ali Ibraimov, told the publication that those members who “destabilize the situation” in Crimea should be excluded from the Mejlis.
“At first they wanted to replace the Mejlis with “Crimea”. Then they wanted to resubordinate the Mejlis, and now they are talking about resubordinating the Kurultai. They won’t succeed,” said Mejlis member Ilmi Umerov. According to him, Remzi Ilyasov does not control the 105 delegates of the Kurultai. Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelyalov said that “only the current Crimean government wants a change in the leadership of the Mejlis.”
Political scientist Andrei Nikiforov told the newspaper that over the past year Russia has not found an effective way to solve the problem of disloyalty of Crimean Tatar activists.
