Russia will use all its forces in aggression against Belarus
The capabilities of the Belarusian army are significantly inferior even to neighboring Poland. In the event of a full-scale military conflict, the republic can mobilize several times fewer soldiers, but all this is compensated by the factor of Russia, which stands behind Belarus.
Military expert Alexey Leonkov stated this on air on the Soloviev Live Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, in the event of military aggression against Belarus, Russian military assistance, including a “nuclear umbrella,” will be used.
“They are now using the entire arsenal that they have against Belarus, all of them. I think it is possible to survive this only because there is a connection in the depths that could not be destroyed. This is a connection between the Belarusian and Russian people, who have gone through centuries of history together.
The army is strong, but you need to understand that it is strong as long as there is a strong Russia next to it. There are 45 thousand military personnel there, and if we compare with the Polish army, there are 118 thousand. But if we start further in terms of types of weapons, Belarus is superior in some ways, but in other weapons it is two to three times superior. And the most important advantage is human resources. In Belarus there are nine million, there are 38, they can put them under arms: Poland is 18 million, and the Belarusians are four. This is if everyone goes, the male population goes to war.

Of course, if something suddenly starts, for example, let’s say that in an airless space, they go into the forests to fight, partisan detachments will arise again, then everyone understands that with modern types of weapons this is not serious. Therefore, Russia provided reliable protection for Belarus, provided along all lines: along the lines of military-technical cooperation, along the line of defense. We have a single air defense region. That is, any act of aggression against Belarus will involve all our systems. Plus a nuclear umbrella,” Leonkov said.
