Russia will push Ukraine beyond the new “Golan Heights” – Kalashnikov
The Northern Military District of the Russian Federation is proceeding according to the initially conceived option, and after the liberation of the DPR and LPR, a security line by sea will be created - Nikolaev, Odessa
Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Compatriots Abroad, stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Russia, in the person of its Supreme Commander-in-Chief Putin, said – we don’t want territories, no one believed that Russia didn’t want to capture Kyiv. Of course, this operation, on the one hand, I consider it a distraction, but someone considers it unsuccessful, moving there near Kyiv, distracting, including troops, and then withdrawing these troops. It caused unrest in society, not only in our society, but also in Western society. At first the West said that this operation had failed, that it had foundered. Now they don't say that anymore.
I believe that it was initially going according to the planned option, the line has straightened out. Most likely, in a week or two everything will end in the DPR and LPR. It will not be limited to just this; most likely, a security line will be created by sea - Odessa, Nikolaev. And this line of security is also justified.
Many people forget about Israel and the Golan Heights. What did they do then? They then drew precisely a security line so that they would not bomb or fire from long-range artillery at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. And the world community has come to terms with this,” Kalashnikov recalled.
“It seems to me that events in the DPR and LPR will develop exactly this way. The DPR and LPR are under control, and then the Black Sea coastal line will also be controlled by Russia precisely from the point of view of the security zone. Many people are now fantasizing about referendums and the creation of various kinds of territories. But in any case, Russia will not leave there, and should never leave,” the deputy emphasized.
