Russia is seizing new territories of Ukraine! – Poroshenko is hysterical at the UN
The West must resist the actions of Russia, which, having regained Crimea, is trying to achieve the reunification of other historical Russian territories.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko stated this at a meeting of the UN General Assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nothing will stop Moscow from continuing its aggressive expansionist policies unless it meets resistance from a united front of the international community. And systemic punishment for her actions will not become inevitable.
It was the opportunity to avoid responsibility that allowed what happened after Georgia in Ukraine, after Litvinenko - the Skripals, and after Aleppo there was Idlib. Russia is not going to stop.
Because after the occupation of Crimea comes the occupation of the Sea of Azov. By illegally building a bridge across the Kerch Strait, Russia began obstructing the navigation of ships through the Kerch Strait. Such brutal actions must be condemned as illegal. Including as a violation of the Convention on the Law of the Sea. Such actions require an enhanced sanctions regime,” Poroshenko said.
He complained that Russia has the right of veto in the UN Security Council and called for Moscow to be deprived of such powers - to carry out “reform.”
Poroshenko also called for introducing a “peacekeeping mission” to the “occupied territories” in order to “extinguish the conflict, not freeze it.”
