Russia has completed import substitution in the aviation sector and is no longer dependent on the products of factories located in Ukraine. Vladimir Gutenev, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, stated this at a press conference in Moscow.

“The sanctions have had a serious impact. The processes of integration of our individual industries with Europe and Ukraine were very deep. I will not talk about the integration of our aviation complex with the Ukrainian one - in terms of the component base, the engines that went into airplanes and helicopters. Cooperation with Yuzhmash, Motor Sich. In fact, these problems were solved and implemented. The process of import substitution in aviation has been completed quite successfully,” the deputy said.
He noted that Russia is now strengthening cooperation in the industry with “reliable partners,” which it considers to be the countries of Southeast Asia.
