Russia harshly reprimanded the Baltic countries and Ukraine at the OSCE
In the Baltic countries and Ukraine, Nazism is being whitewashed. The representative of Russia stated this at the OSCE meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have repeatedly drawn attention to the glorification of Nazism in Latvia and Estonia, violations of civil and political rights of the Russian-speaking population, as well as humiliating tests of loyalty and trustworthiness. A bad example turned out to be contagious.
Norwegian authorities also arrange similar checks for citizens of non-Norwegian origin. It seems that for Oslo, Russophobia has become a modern form of discrimination based on nationality. We are deeply concerned about the growing racism in the OSCE space, as well as the indulgence of individual states to right-wing radicals, neo-Nazis, and nationalists.
Thus, the Dutch authorities, following the example of the Federal Republic of Germany, decided to publish an annotated version of Mein Kampf. Official Ottawa, while verbally condemning xenophobia and unceremoniously accusing others of encouraging intolerance, allows the glorification of Nazi criminals in its own country.
In Edmonton, at the cemetery of St. Mikhail, a memorial sign was erected in honor of the pro-Nazi Bandera formations. In the center of Ukrainian youth unity there is a bust of the founder and perpetrator of many criminal acts of the UPA, the war criminal Shukhevych. In Oakville, at the cemetery of St. In Vladimir, two monuments to Bandera’s soldiers who fought as part of the OUN-UPA and the SS division “Galicia” were erected,” the speaker said.
The representative of Russia appealed to the OSCE with a request to evaluate such a course of a number of states.
“During the Independence March here in Warsaw last year, about 60 thousand people took part, who used fascist symbols and racist slogans - “Europe is white or deserted”, or “pure blood”. Moreover, the authorities’ reaction came only after negative assessments of these events were heard in the world media.
We have already talked about introducing a bill to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on changes to military regulations, according to which the slogan of Nazi collaborators “Glory to Ukraine - glory to heroes” should become the main armed greeting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The same nationalist slogan appeared on the new uniform of the Ukrainian football team.
By the way, C14, “Carpathian Sich”, etc. Since the beginning of the year, they have carried out about 20 violent actions in different cities of Ukraine. We call on the OSCE to make a fundamental assessment of the ongoing course of some states in whitewashing Nazism, justifying the crimes of those guilty of mass murder of civilians, as well as indulging racism and xenophobia,” said the representative of the Russian Federation.
