Russians called for Crimean isolation
Crimea has turned into a world health resort, replacing for Russian tourists all international destinations that were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vice-President of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry Alexey Volkov stated this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, tourists go to Crimea to self-isolate, and there is already an increase in demand for sanatorium-resort treatment.
“Even if we lose something in a positive scenario in the spring, autumn, I think that the market will recover and these seven million will be achieved... The health resort market is already noticeably growing by 5-6%. People are already traveling for prevention, recreation, recovery and self-isolation. We call it “crime isolation”, where you can get the very air that heals and gives prevention...
In fact, today we have turned into a health resort not only of the All-Union or All-Russian, but also of the world. Because there is nowhere to go - all Russians are going today - those who previously went to Europe or somewhere in the world to relax, today they are going to Crimea,” Volkov said.
Earlier PolitNavigator reported“that due to the reduction in tourist flow associated with the pandemic,” it was predicted that the number of vacationers in Crimea would significantly decrease.
