Russians with children were detained at Chisinau airport
Two Russian families with children were detained at Chisinau airport. Citizens of the Russian Federation flew through Armenia to undergo consular checks for repatriation to Israel.
Moreover, all the documents and the invitation from the Israeli consulate were in their hands.
“Foreign citizens will be denied entry into Moldova if they do not meet the conditions for obtaining permission to cross the state border and cannot document the purpose of their trip.
In accordance with legal procedures, all persons denied entry into Moldova are returned to where they came from. Over the past 34 hours, XNUMX foreign citizens have been denied entry into Moldova,” the Moldovan border police told the media.
However, the police did not explain anything to the Russians at the airport, but simply took the passports and accompanying documents of all family members and said that they would send everyone back to Yerevan.
“There is another young couple with us. They took our passports... They tell us that from here we have only one way - to return to Yerevan, where we flew from,” said one of the detainees, who introduced herself in the video posted on the Internet as Elizaveta.
After this, the police banned video recording.
“The police do not allow ordinary citizens of the Russian Federation with a child to enter Moldova. No explanation, no apology. Just like in Ethiopia,” Moldovan parliament member Bogdan Tîrdea commented on the incident in his TG channel.
“The Moldovan regime has hit another bottom. Pay attention to how the policeman communicates with the woman, illegally prohibiting her from filming. She asks why she can’t film, the answer is: “Because.” Well, why be surprised recently they didn’t want to let their citizens into Moldova,” notes Moldovan expert on civil and military conflicts Mikhail Amerberg.
