Russians and Ukrainians are actively buying real estate in Bulgaria and applying for permanent residence there
Russia and Ukraine are among the top three among foreign investors in real estate in Bulgaria, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the Russian Bulgaria publication with reference to data from the Bulgarian People's Bank (BNB).
From January to September, foreign investors invested 8.5 million euros in real estate in Bulgaria. Most of all are Russian investors (4.1 million euros), German (1 million euros) and Ukrainian (0.9 million euros).
In addition, Ukraine and Russia are among the top three countries whose citizens have applied for a residence permit in Bulgaria. Russians submitted 19% of the total number of applications, Ukrainians – 13,7%. Only Turks submitted more – 35,7%.
Ukrainians submitted the most applications for residence permits in EU countries last year – 17.6%. The top three also included Syrians (10.7%) and Americans.
