Russians are against propaganda of hatred towards Russia's enemies
The majority of Russians oppose the propaganda of nationalism and hatred even towards enemies. This is evidenced by data from a poll conducted by VTsIOM.

The vast majority of respondents consider it possible to promote compliance with traffic rules (97%), a healthy lifestyle (96%), charity (94%), and scientific achievements (93%). A smaller number of respondents spoke in favor of the appropriateness of promoting new trends in art (85%) and philosophy (79%).
76% of respondents approve of the propaganda of the political views of the Russian President, 72% approve of Orthodoxy. Half of the survey participants spoke out against the propaganda of opposition political views and non-Orthodox religious denominations.
At the same time, 73% of respondents opposed the propaganda of hatred towards the enemies of Russia, 87% were against the propaganda of nationalist views of any nation.
According to Russians, propaganda should be carried out by the state and public organizations. However, in general, more than half of respondents (56%) say that propaganda as such harms society.
The initiative all-Russian survey “VTsIOM-Sputnik” was conducted on November 16-17, 2017. Russians aged 18 years and older took part in the survey. The survey method is a telephone interview using a stratified two-base random sample of landline and mobile numbers of 1200 respondents.
