The infamous MGIMO professor Andrei Zubov stated this in an interview with Kyiv Channel 5.
“Crimea led to the isolation of Russia, to sanctions, of course, it will lead to an even greater deterioration of the economy, and life will become worse. People will say - why do we need this Crimea? Why do we need it? What has he changed in our lives?” the professor noted.
Moreover, he is convinced, the residents of Crimea themselves will say the same:
“They will understand that all their expectations, that by joining Russia they will find themselves in an earthly paradise, will all turn out to be nonsense. For the simple reason that neither neighboring Kuban, nor any Voronezh region (! - “Navigator”) are paradise. A hard life, criminal, practically little different from Ukrainian life. And if you manage to create a healthier state here in Ukraine, all the more so will the residents of Crimea say, “What have we done?” prophesies a representative of Moscow’s anti-Russian fifth column.
