A Russian is suing Ukraine in a Kiev court to regain his right to enter
Russian citizen Igor Churkin filed a lawsuit against the Security Service of Ukraine regarding the SBU resolution according to which he was banned from entering Ukraine for a period of 5 years, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The corresponding claim was filed with the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, the court’s press service reported.
According to the press service, the plaintiff in his claims asks the court to invalidate and cancel the Resolution of the Security Service of Ukraine banning entry into Ukraine for citizen of the Russian Federation Igor Anatolyevich Churkin for a period of 5 years. The plaintiff also asks the court to oblige the SBU to inform the State Border Service Administration about the cancellation of the relevant resolution.
The court is now deciding whether to open proceedings in the case. The third party is the Administration of the State Border Service of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the name of the plaintiff, Igor Anatolyevich Churkin, completely coincides with the name of a Russian businessman, known for financial scandals surrounding Lviv Bus Plants LLC.
