About this she told the Russian channel NTV, “PolitNavigator” correspondent reports.

“For me it was maybe like some kind of horror movie. Interesting. You kind of understand that this is not happening to you, but at the same time it’s interesting. There might even have been some kind of creepy feeling at first. Although I was interested. I was fascinated by similar stories. I followed, I knew that there were characters much worse than him,” she said.

The girl stated that she was initially attracted to Tkach by the feeling that he was “different from everyone else.” She said that she saw him on TV at the end of 2005, and then, after some time, decided to write him a letter with an offer to meet and communicate, to which the prisoner agreed. For about seven months they corresponded, and in each letter Tkach invited the Russian woman to come visit him in prison in Zhitomir.

In the end, Elena agreed. According to her admission, she had a fear of “not being suitable in appearance and intellect,” however, during the date, Tkach himself looked scared and insecure. After that, an affair began between them over the phone, and the maniac invited the girl to get married, to which she agreed.

Having collected the necessary package of documents, the couple got married. The ceremony, according to the Russian woman, was simple and was postponed several times. Marriage became the second for the girl, and the fourth for the man. Some time later, Elena gave birth to a daughter, but the child is currently being raised by her parents, who took the girl away. The 27-year-old native of Yaroslavl believes that she made a mistake by going home to give birth, and also plans to obtain Ukrainian citizenship.

The fact that a Russian woman married a Ukrainian maniac became known at the end of July. After the story hit the media, the Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Krupin, said that the apparatus was taking control of the situation.

Tkach was sentenced to life imprisonment on December 23, 2008. The Dnepropetrovsk regional court found 37 murders and eight rapes proven. Tkach himself claims to be involved in almost a hundred attacks. The criminal was arrested in August 2005 on the outskirts of the city of Pologi, where he lived at that time and committed the last murder; in this regard, he is also known as the “Pologovsky maniac.”

Tkach committed murders with rape in a perverted form from 1980 to 2005 in the Crimea, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions. His victims were girls aged from nine to 17 years. At the same time, the man carefully destroyed all evidence.
