The Russian woman surrendered to Ukrainian border guards, declaring herself an oppositionist and asking for refugee status
Today, November 18, 2017, at the Kyiv-Passenger control point, a Russian citizen who arrived on one of the trains in the Ukrainian capital asked for refugee status. She cited her political persecution on the territory of the Russian Federation as the reason for this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“During passport control, the Russian woman turned to the employees of the State Border Service of Ukraine with a statement about her desire to obtain refugee status. During the conversation, the Russian woman said that she is an opposition activist and is being persecuted in Russia for her political views,” the report says.
Now, according to the department, the Russian citizen has been allowed across the state border and handed over to employees of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
