Russian women give birth more than Arab women in France
The total fertility rate (the average number of children born to one woman) in Russia this year reached 1,77, despite the fact that the Russian government planned to bring it to 1,754 only in 2018.

Minister of Labor and Social Policy Maxim Topilin reported this to Russian President Vladimir Putin today.
“We hope that we will maintain these figures, but this is already more than 1,8; to be honest, we did not even count on such total fertility rates. If a favorable situation develops, it seems to me that in a few years we can even reach 1,9,” the Kremlin’s official website quotes Topilin.
According to him, such indicators in Europe are only found in France.
In almost all European countries these figures are lower. In France, due to the population that at one time came from Algeria and other countries, they, of course, have a high coefficient. But they have quite serious support measures, kindergartens (which we have been doing lately) - they have made quite a leap over the past years,” Topilin said.
