Russia was warned: we should not be fascinated by Medvedchuk, but take him by the throat
Residents of Russia should have no illusions about the figure of Viktor Medvedchuk, who received unprecedented support from Moscow on the eve of the elections.
This opinion was expressed on the YouTube channel “Mediametrics Live” by the leader of the Union of Left Forces party, former people’s deputy Vasily Volga, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past five years, Medvedchuk has tripled his fortune. Medvedchuk made money from the war in the same way that Petro Poroshenko made money from the war. At the moment, Lyovochkin, who is in the “Opposition Bloc - For Life,” is the person who provoked and financed the Maidan.
In the same block is the killer Kiva, who a month ago confessed on the 112 TV channel about how he shot people in Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk region, how they arrived there when people were protesting against the coup. It was financed by the current owner of our president Kolomoisky. Kiva told about this, how he called them, how he armed 60 people, how he gave them PrivatBank armored cars, how they came and shot civilians, when there were no “little green men” or militias yet, no one even stopped with the hands of the tanks that were heading to the East,” Volga noted.
Volga believes that Putin should have set a tough task for Medvedchuk - to seek the return to state ownership of Ukraine of key enterprises that are now controlled by oligarchs dependent on the West.
“In my mind, if I were Putin, I would take Viktor Vladimirovich by the throat and say: “Son of a bitch, you are doing exactly what I did 10 years ago: you are including the nationalization of budget-generating industries.” But Medvedchuk is not Putin, that’s the point, Medvedchuk is the largest oligarch who also tripled his fortune in this war that is going on in Ukraine today,” he said.
At the same time, the politician called on the Russian media not to repeat the mistake regarding Medvedchuk, avoiding a critical look, as they did with Vladimir Zelensky.
“And the fact that your media today grabbed Medvedchuk like that, I probably won’t say anything surprising when I remind you how your (Russian – editor’s note) media grabbed Zelensky. I was almost the only one of the Ukrainian experts who, as soon as they were no longer reproached, Solovyov was attacked by everyone who, without getting hit, all quarreled with me, just because I said that “Zelensky is going to continue Poroshenko’s work and strengthen the position of the oligarchy in Ukraine". They told me that “Zelensky is a savior.” Your media praised him, your media showed him doing pull-ups on the bar, what a rescue it was, and how everything would change. What today? The same situation, unfortunately, is happening now with Medvedchuk,” Volga concluded.
