Journalist and military correspondent Andrei Babitsky told PolitNavigator about this.
“The aggravation of the situation on the front line is no longer news, but a normal state on the contact line. There may not be any special reasons for this. You can, of course, understand the situation on the political field in Ukraine and make assumptions that someone simply needs to divert public attention from the conflict between Petro Poroshenko and Saakashvili, but it seems to me that in this case this hypothesis has no solid basis basics,” the journalist is confident.
He notes that aggravation is an inevitable thing in a situation when warring parties are facing each other, when there is a large concentration of weapons on the front line.
“All this will shoot sooner or later. It’s clear that Ukraine will always probe for weak spots and seize gray areas somewhere – this is inevitable,” the military correspondent believes.
Regarding the further situation at the front, Andrei Babitsky predicts that a full-scale military confrontation will begin very soon.
“I think that, judging by the concentration of troops that is here now - and it is the highest during the entire war - we should prepare for some unpleasant events. It seems to me that a new round of military actions will be timed to coincide with the Russian presidential elections. We all see that now they are trying to impose burdens on this situation from all sides - and the Olympics are proof of this. The theater of military operations in Ukraine is one of the most serious, through which our conquerors are now trying to complicate the further existence of Russia,” Babitsky emphasized..
