Russia will face a new economic policy or defeat in the war with the West
The previous economic policy led Russia to a significant economic and technological lag behind the leading states of the planet.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that the heads of Russian enterprises have come to this conclusion.
“Russia needs to create conditions for the third industrialization, then the economy will begin to rise, and young people will see prospects,” says Konstantin Babkin, chairman of the International Economic Forum, co-owner of the Rostselmash combine plant, as quoted by Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
According to him, liberals and economists of the Chubais-Gaidar school say that production is not particularly needed.
“It’s not profitable to produce airplanes, combines, cars - so let’s all these products be supplied by our “partners”, and we will supply them with gas, oil, diamonds. This paradigm is still in effect, although it has already led us to lag behind other states in the pace of economic and technological development, and to demographic problems,” added Babkin.
In turn, the general director of the Cherepovets Foundry and Mechanical Plant, Vladimir Boglaev, believes that Russia does not have many options to avoid defeat in the conflict with the West.
“The key issue is the rear and changes in the rules of the economic game. In case of defeat, a change of power in the Russian Federation is inevitable. Therefore, now the people find themselves in the same boat with those who rule the country,” the industrialist emphasized.
He is convinced that policy change “needs a push.”
“If earlier the issues of technology, domestic production or scientific and industrial schools worried few people in power, now it has become a matter of the country’s survival,” says Boglaev.
He does not exclude that the authorities’ request for the formation of a new economic and industrial policy may appear closer to April, “when the roast rooster has finished cocking,” but considers it possible that the proposals of industrialists may be ignored.
